It was such an honor photographing Skye’s baby shower and surprise engagement a couple weeks ago. I met Skye through eating at a restaurant she worked out and we bonded over our pregnancies and then quickly became friends. One of her best friends that I also met at the same restaurant, Kristen, hired me to photograph the baby shower, but more importantly the surprise engagement that Skye had no clue was happening at the end of the gift opening. The shower was beautiful and bursted at the seams with all sorts of pink decorations, as Skye and Dan are expecting a baby girl in early March. Before the shower started, I stole the happy couple away to the back of the club house and found a fence with a lot of character, which happened to be a beautiful backdrop for their posed photos outside. We then enjoyed all the yummy shower food, played a few games, and then went on to the gift opening. As the gifts started dwindling down, I could see that Dan was getting more and more nervous, as he started talking a lot more as his moment was coming closer. When the time finally arrived, the area they were in kind of cleared out and Skye opened the most beautifully wrapped gift – a pretty white bag with a small decorative box inside that held the onesie that said “mommy will you marry daddy?”. The minute Skye saw it, she was in disbelief and then tears of joy started rolling down her face and without hesitation she said yes and the two embraced in one of the sweetest engagements I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing. After Skye and Dan had some time to soak it in, they ended their baby shower with the most beautiful toast to love, life, and new starts. I can’t wait to watch this couple continue to grow with each other and to see them blossom into the amazing parents I know they will be!
His face here – so sweet!
I had the pleasure of meeting Kim when my son was in the NICU. Kim was a member of the same mom group I had joined when I was pregnant and being a NICU nurse, she made sure to come visit with me during one of her shifts. I didn’t have the opportunity to attend a meeting before I had my son due to complications and I just thought it was the sweetest gesture for her to come see us. Kim was also pregnant at the time with her very first child – a soon to be very beautiful girl, that also spent some time in the NICU herself. Kim was such a devoted mommy during that time she cared for her daughter while she continued to gain strength and then eventually was sent home with Kim from the hospital. Fast forward to about a month later, well exactly a month after Kennedy was born, and we finally found a date and beautiful weather for this session. Kennedy was officially one month old on her session date and was such a good baby for her session. She was wide awake the whole time and you could tell she was the biggest blessing to both Kim and Nate. Kim created the most dreamy nursery I have ever laid eyes on and it was the perfect backdrop for Kennedy’s session. Kim and Nate – thank you so much for trusting me to capture these precious memories for you to hold dear forever.
If you love Kim’s nursery, be sure to follow her on Instagram – she’s a lifestyle blogger! https://www.instagram.com/kmbrlyjoy/
Hello D’Angelo family! First off, how adorable are Cari and her husband Chris? Then add in that cutie Cameron and you have a photographer’s dream family to shoot. We met at Quiet Waters Park and we had fun chasing Cameron back and forth to get these awesome shots of him – there was a lot of laughing and squealing going on. We had beautiful weather and gorgeous light during our session and I just love all the greenery in this! D’Angelo family, I hope you love all your photos! Oh, and Cameron – “Mine!” =)
Over Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of photographing the Siegel family. Sweet, sweet Madeleine contacted me to get some family photos while all of her sons were in town with their families. It was important to her to capture these special times with her growing family, especially all of her precious grandchildren, and I’m so glad she chose me to help her with this. Siegel family – it was an absolute pleasure!
Oh, I just LOVE the Mohan family. Amanda found me on Yelp after she just moved to Florida (Thank goodness because we became instant best friends) and from there the rest is history. She told me she was expecting her second child, a sweet baby girl, in early December. I too at the time was expecting a little one in early December, but a boy – and our due dates were just ONE day apart! You may call that coincidence, but I think of it more as destiny. We plotted ideas together on a shared Pinterest board and were able to create the perfect session for them…Oh I just love how the photos turned out and the sweet memories that were captured on camera for them. Mohan Family – enjoy! I look forward to that sweet baby girl’s newborn pics coming soon! xoxo
Ahhhhhhhh I’m so, so excited to share the Psihogios Family Session. When Caitrin and I started planning and discussing the inspiration for this session, I knew it would be absolutely beautiful….the beach at sunset, blush tones mixed with ocean blues, and that gorgeous golden hour of sunlight. I think we pretty much nailed it – take that Pinterest! The light was just gorgeous and the sunset was undeniably picture perfect. This family was so sweet and their love for one another just absolutely glowed throughout the session. Oh, and let’s not even forget about those amazing blush toned dresses the ladies wore – simply breathtaking for a beach session!
This one is my favorite! I just love the joy in her face as she’s running on the beach!
I had THE SWEETEST newborn session this week with the Aloisio family! They just welcomed their new baby girl Valentina to their family in September and I was so honored to document this amazing time in their lives. We started their session at a nearby park, which Mimi was able to join us at!, and then finished the majority of the session at their home. I love how the images portray this sweet family in their home and how much love they have for Valentina. Romeo was so proud to show off his little sister, and she was equally in love with him! What a dreamy session!
Oh how I love the Powers family! I’ve been photographing this sweet family for a few years now. They live in Georgia, where I used to live, and vacationed just close enough to me to make a Florida session happen. They stayed at the cutest little Marriott in Palm Beach and we just explored around the hotel for photo spots. We mainly used the beach area – it was beautiful and not crowded, which was ideal for for us. We started with some more posed shots with the whole family, and then moved into more of an editorial type session allowing the girls to play at the beach in their suits – these are definitely some of my favorite photos…there’s even a surprise photo in there for Ben with his girls! Oh, and the girls got their hair braided on their cruise before our photoshoot, and just couldn’t bear to part with their fancy new hairstyles, so we just rolled with it! I thought that was so cute!
I am so ready to share this beautiful maternity session with you! I met Shaun, Racquel, and their adorable son Romeo at the beach for a family/maternity session. Their family photos turned out so sweet – check out the handsome smile on their son Romeo. Romeo had the best time playing in the ocean, and I was so happy to get some photos of him running wild at the beach – such a precious moment! The photos of just Shaun and Racquel are so dreamy and their love just shines through. After the family photos, Racquel and I continued on for just some time with her and her sweet daughter to be – and let me just tell you – they are to DIE FOR! This has been one of my favorite sessions to date! Shaun and Racquel – I hope you love your photos and I look forward to doing your daughter’s newborn photos!
Ahhhhh I am so excited to share sweet Mimi’s newborn session with you. Mimi was such a dream to photograph – she slept through the entire session and even gave a few smiles throughout to surprise us! We met at Deerfield beach and found a patch of rocks that we loved and did our entire session in just that one little spot. It turned out beautiful – the weather was gorgeous and there was just enough seaweed around to add in some extra beachy details for this set. Ben and Ali, Mimi’s parents, were so fun to work with and clearly have only eyes for each other. They were giggling, smiling, and kissing each other throughout the whole session. Ben and Ali – I hope you two will treasure these for years to come!
